About LakeMUN

LakeMUN

Welcome to LakeMUN 2026! In its fifth iteration, LakeMUN now offers three unique committees covering a wide range of topics and difficulties. We aim to provide an accessible avenue for high school students across Washington state to participate in diplomacy, collaboration, and meaningful debate. We hope that all delegates are able to learn relevant skills and ideas as well as find community on May 2 at Lakeside School. Please don't hesitate to contact Heads of Conference, Sachi Tambe (sachit26@lakesideschool.org) and Aicha Sinha-Khan (aichas27@lakesideschool.org), with further questions.

Heads of Conference

Sachi Tambe

Sachi Tambe

Sachi Tambe is a senior at Lakeside School and is overjoyed to be serving as your Head of Conference for LakeMUN 2026! She joined Model UN as an eager freshman and entered an amazing world of diplomacy, public speaking, and leadership at her first conference. After her exhilarating time at EDUMUN 2022, she never looked back, continuing to partake in various MUN conferences and activities. When she's not busy writing a position paper the night before it's due, Sachi can be found reading a feel-good novel, watching action movies with her family, complaining about the cold, or practicing dance. She can't wait to create an unforgettable experience for all of the delegates at LakeMUN this year!

Aicha Sinha-Khan

Aicha Sinha-Khan

Aicha is a junior at Lakeside High School and is ecstatic to welcome you to LAKEMUN 2026! She has nurtured a love for debating ever since she was six and discovered that second helpings of dessert were only ever a well-reasoned argument away. Ever since then, she's been on a mission to insert her opinion everywhere it isn't needed, much to her family and friends' chagrin. Nowadays you can find Aicha scrambling to finish her homework last minute, verbally sparring with online bigots, or curled up with a good book.

Model UN Dais

Medha Kashyap
Medha Kashyap WHO

Medha Kashyap is a freshman at the Lakeside School and is delighted to be serving as a Co-Director for WHO! Her MUN journey began as a reluctant delegate at EDUMUN 2024, furiously studying ROP the night before only to mess it up almost immediately. Despite the rocky start, she was quickly enveloped into the world of Model UN, enthralled by the strangely addictive thrill of committee. Since then, she has jumped at every chance to join a committee, and with each placard raised, her passion for MUN has only increased. Outside of MUN, you'll find her stress-baking or cooking absurd amounts of food, playing sports, or hanging out with her dog! Medha's hope is for delegates to enjoy this committee as much as she does and eagerly awaits seeing their commitment and passion blossom!

Charie Chang
Charie Chang WHO

Charie Chang is a freshman at Lakeside School and is equally terrified to be serving as a Co-Director for LakeMUN WHO as she was for her first conference. Having been introduced to the world of MUN through the exotic stories told by her older sister, Charie started her MUN journey at PACMUN '25 equipped with nothing but a crystal-clear vision of what could go wrong. Ever since, Charie has found herself in the eye of the Model UN storm, battling everything from ever-present gavel hunters to France's scheme of world dominion. Outside of MUN, you can find her sleeping, playing piano brainrot, or simply existing as a slave to procrastination. At LakeMUN, Charie is excited to ask the all-pervasive question of "is that a point?" and looks forward to seeing every delegate discover the spark of MUN that she knows and loves.

Karishma Kashyap
Karishma Kashyap WHO

Karishma Kashyap is a freshman at the Lakeside School and is very excited to be serving as a Co-Director on the dais for WHO at LakeMUN! Before her first conference, she stayed up until midnight trying to cram ROP and write a speech for the secondary speakers list with minimal knowledge of the topic, and that was basically the only time she spoke in her committee. She learned a lot from her experience spectating and was quite intrigued by the vast world and opportunities MUN offers! Although a rookie, she has become more skilled at the art of moderated caucuses and is eager to continue her MUN journey. Outside of the committee room, you will find her hanging out with her friends, scrolling on YouTube Shorts (she's working on Instagram), listening to music, or drinking bubble tea! Karishma is thrilled to be able to serve as your Co-Director, and she hopes you will be more prepared for your first time than she was!

Lingying Shi
Lingying Shi Arctic Council

Lingying Shi is a sophomore at Lakeside School; she is exhilarated to serve on your dais for LakeMUN 2026! Ever since attending SeattleMUN after losing a bet with a friend in 8th grade, she has fallen in love with everything MUN, from the thrill of making speeches and naming resolution papers to passing notes like "why is China kinda..." and dance battles during crisis. When not in her FBA, Lingying can be found sleeping in the trainer's room, in her instructor jacket with her snowboard students at Snoqualmie Central, or in her wrestling singlet wondering if she'll survive the next match. Lingying looks forward to meeting you all at this year's iteration of LakeMUN!

Alexa Oh
Alexa Oh Arctic Council

Alexa Oh is a freshman at Lakeside School and is thrilled to serve as a dais member for LakeMUN 2026! She began her MUN journey at Lakeside Clubs Fair, wondering what people were talking about when they said 'MUN' instead of Model UN and being confused about why dais isn't spelt 'dias.' Her favorite memories from MUN include sending anonymous PACgrams to friends, shipping oblivious delegates together, and knocking very enthusiastically on tables. Outside of MUN, Alexa can be found swinging on the golf course, playing pop songs on the cello, and drinking matcha.

Naina Subherwal
Naina Subherwal Arctic Council

Naina Subherwal is a chai-addicted junior at Lakeside School and is so excited to serve on your dais for LakeMUN 2026! Her MUN journey started with LakeMUN and she's thrilled to be continuing the cycle. She loves all parts of MUN, from opening speeches to raising her placard until her arm hurts to impeaching a Senator during crisis for "being too performative." When not in MUN, Naina can be found on the soccer field or tennis court, buried in a book, or crying over her chem homework.

Matthew Kim
Matthew Kim Future Crisis

Matthew Kim is a sophomore at the Lakeside School and is ever so delighted to serve as one of your Co-Directors for LakeMUN 2026! Since his first-ever MUN experience at EDUMUN 2023, he's never been able to imagine his life without it. Whether he's rescuing the Mona Lisa, (unsuccessfully) averting nuclear war, or getting elected the most performative dais member, he's proud to say he has never had a dull moment with Model UN. If he's not in the committee room, you can find Matthew cooking, baking, stargazing, procrastinating, or being excited to meet all of you at this fifth iteration of LakeMUN!

Natalie Gan
Natalie Gan Future Crisis

Natalie Gan is a sleep-deprived sophomore at the Lakeside School and is overjoyed to serve as a Co-Director for LakeMUN 2026! Ever since her club leader dragged her to her school's MUN club at the beginning of her sophomore year, she's never turned back. From stealing billions of dollars from a CEO to multiple counts of attempted (and successful) murder, the spontaneity of conferences has truly captured her heart. Outside of MUN, Natalie can be found trying (and failing) to fix her sleep schedule and inhaling copious amounts of caffeinated beverages, most notably the obviously superior iced caramel macchiato. She wishes you all good luck and can't wait to see you at LakeMUN 2026.

Vivian Hong
Vivian Hong Future Crisis

Vivian Hong is a sophomore at the Lakeside School and is excited to serve as a Co-Director for LakeMUN 2026! Her first experience with MUN started as a very confused delegate at PACMUN 2025, and she hopes to continue this journey. From unfortunately witnessing a top-secret MUN romance firsthand to almost getting murdered (by Natalie), the thrill of debate has kept her hooked ever since. Outside of MUN, you can find Vivian cafe hopping, cramming work late at night, and binge-watching shows on Netflix. She can't wait to meet you all and hopes you'll have lots of fun!
